Rimrock Pool and Spa didn’t start overnight. It took decades! Along the way there were a lot of people who helped develop the dream that eventually became Rimrock.
There were mentors who took their time to teach the skills, clients who challenged us to dream big, and subcontractors who taught us the skills it took them a lifetime to learn, and helped us to improve on them in order to deliver a product that we can be truly proud of.
At Rimrock we don’t strive to build the most pools, but to build the best!
And of course, there’s family. For all of you who have stood by us and given your opinions, helped in whatever capacity and sacrificed time, energy and money to build Rimrock we are in your debt.
And that’s not all! We have an extended family! We are honored to work with people who are not only true professionals but share in our vision of providing a quality product, customer support and assistance to our clients. We simply couldn’t do it without you!

Francine Hansen – Co-Founder & CFO
Fran, the co-founder and financial wizard of the company, plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes. Her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to customer service have been crucial in establishing our stellar reputation. A licensed general contractor in both Oregon and Washington, her hands on approach to each project ensures a smooth transition from hand drawn plans to the final walkthrough of your pool. Every detail, essential to meet your expectations. A mother of four grown children, Fran is also a proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. An entrepreneur, franchisor, and bridal gown designer, she loves traveling, often driving her Travato between Oregon and Texas to visit her daughter and family. Outside of work, Fran enjoys time with her grandkids, social media, and indulging in her love of reading.
Ken Hansen – Founder & CEO
Ken is the owner of Rimrock Pool and Spa, a division of Hansen Northwest Construction. He is also the co-owner of Hansen Heritage Furniture. Ken is a lifelong woodworking connoisseur with a deep passion for craftsmanship.
Ken founded this company with a vision to create backyard utopias where families can make lasting memories.
With over 30 years of experience in construction and custom furniture design, his expertise and dedication to quality are the cornerstones of our success.
When he’s not meticulously overseeing projects, Ken loves spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, refining his barbecue skills, and exploring new woodworking techniques in his home workshop alongside his sons.
Steve Hansen – Project Manager
Steve, our middle son, handles project management ensuring that your dream becomes a reality. He tells people all the time that his job is to make their dreams come to life. With 15 years in the military, Steve is adapted to working with moving parts to affect a coordinated effort to accomplish the task. And with 22 years working in the pool industry under some of the most respected names in the pacific northwest he has the skills to get the job done. Sometimes he’s in the office, but most likely you’ll see him alongside our crews working hand in hand to make sure that our rigid quality control standards and timelines are met. When you see him, say hello! Tell him your thoughts and ideas and watch him put them into the custom pool you’ve always dreamed of!
Chris Hansen – Construction Team
Chris is our youngest son. He assists in the construction process helping with the crew and is the head of the timber products side of the company. With years in the custom furniture market Chris is a master craftsman with an eye for perfection! If you want custom outdoor furniture Chris is your guy! He’s also talented in creating outdoor living spaces in your landscape! A business owner for more than 20 years in his own right he’s pretty much seen it all! When he’s not working hard on a project you can find him in the woods chasing elk or on a stream fishing for salmon!
Brayden Hansen – Construction Team
rayden Hansen has been in construction since getting out of high school nearly a decade ago, and has never looked back.
Experienced in many construction disciplines, he is an integral part of the team and a valued employee.
Watch this young man. He’s going to go far! How can he not? He’s a Hansen!
When he’s not at work he enjoys hunting and fishing all over the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.
Jennifer Campbell –
Content & Research
Jennifer, though not a Hansen by name, is part of the Rimrock family. She researches and develops new content with an eye to detail that makes her an invaluable team member and keeps the website humming along.
She loves coffee and tea and often surprises members of the team with new concoctions.
Robbi Drake -Marketing/Systems
A tech evangelist, Robbi develops,updates, incorporates software tools, promotes social media marketing campaigns.
A veteran of search engine technology, Robbi has worked for Hotrate, Mahalo, Disney/Go and multiple other search engines.
She is meticulous in her research and content strategy.
When off the computer, she enjoys writing, photography, gardening, fishing, coffee and dogs.
